Elizabeth L Phifer specializes in product liability, commercial litigation, toxic tort and environmental litigation, as well as appellate work. She has tried numerous jury and non-jury trials in the State of Texas, and been admitted pro hac vice for trial or discovery purposes in Illinois, California, Oklahoma, Hawaii, Colorado, Delaware, Ohio, Arizona, Kentucky, and Louisiana.

In addition to trial work, Elizabeth has been lead counsel in over 200 appellate cases since 1984. She has participated in oral argument before the Texas Second, Fifth, Eighth, Eleventh and Thirteenth Courts of Appeal, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Borg-Warner v. Flores, 232 S.W.3d 765 (Tex. 2007) and Vaughn v. Ford Motor, et al, 91 S.W.3d 387 (Tex. App. - Eastland 2002, pet. denied) are cases in which Elizabeth acted as both trial and appellate counsel. In Jennings v Joshua ISD, 948 F.2d 194 (5th Cir. 1991), she served as appellate counsel during all phases of the appeal.

In addition to practicing law, Elizabeth has served as a visiting professor at Marie Curie Sklodowska University in Lublin, Poland, and been a guest lecturer at Dallas Baptist University. She also has coached high school mock trial teams, and currently serves on the Board of Trustees of a Texas non-profit corporation that promotes youth literacy, mathematics, strategic thinking and fair play through word games.
